We are an interdisciplinary team that focuses on development, analysis, implementation, and validation of mathematical models describing biological systems. We strive to perfect the science of biological data and provide quantitative understanding of biological systems through cutting-edge interdisciplinary research, training, and community involvement.

The VT Center for the Mathematics of Biosystems (VT-CMB) is hosting a Focus Session on "Ecology":

This focus session brings together theoretical and empirical researchers interested in how resource availability, environmental heterogeneity, and landscape structure shape ecological communities across scales. We aim to explore the mechanistic foundations linking resource dynamics to community stability and structure. Short presentations will be followed by structured discussion and a reception designed to foster new collaborations across departments and colleges. The detailed schedule can be found at program.

This focus session brings together wet- and dry-lab researchers at VT and beyond who are engaged in immunology-related work.
